Jalandhar- The late Ujagar Singh Sekhwan, son of Jathedar Seva Singh Sekhwan, a former cabinet minister of Punjab, passed away at the feet of Guru in the past. Following this tragic news, while there was a wave of mourning in the politics of Punjab, there was also a wave of mourning among the leaders of various political parties outside Punjab. Mr. Badal expressed his deepest condolences to the family of Jathedar Seva Singh Sekhwan along with his wife Amarjit Kaur Sekhwan and his son Aam Aadmi Party Halqa Incharge Qadian Jagroop Singh Sekhwan and his other son Manraj Singh Sekhwan.
Mr. Kejriwal said that with the departure of Jathedar Seva Singh Sekhwan not only the family suffered a never ending loss but also the Aam Aadmi Party suffered a never ending loss from the constituency and from Punjab. Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party will never forget the love given by Jathedar Seva Singh Sekhwan to Aam Aadmi Party and he will always be remembered in Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from Delhi was accompanied by Punjab President Bhagwant Mann and a large number of senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
It may be recalled that Jatha Seva Singh Sekhwan who served the people of Punjab in various capacities with the Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal government for a long period of time from the very beginning after which the Jathedar became angry with the Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal government.
He joined the Akali Dal Taksali formed by Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and later joined the party along with Sardar Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa of the Akali Dal Democratic Party and some time ago Jathedar Seva Singh Sekhwan who was ill and whose condition was to be ascertained. From Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal arrived at his residence with the entire Aam Aadmi Party leadership and joined the Aam Aadmi Party on the same day, August 26, along with his family. While doing so, the Guru was at his feet.
