SHIMLA: Senior Congress leader and former minister G S Bali said that chief minister Jai Ram Thakur was playing emotional card to retain the Mandi Lok Sabha seat.
Bali said that in last four years, the CM failed to think outside his Seraj assembly constituency and now he is trying to mislead the voters of Mandi parliamentary constituency.
G S Bali said that chief minister knows it well that BJP is going to loose by-elections on all four seats of Himachal Pradesh and that is why Jai Ram Thakur at every public meeting is repeating that Mandi belongs to BJP.
He said that chief minister should tell the people about the development works were done in Kinnaur, Bharmaur-Pangi and Lahaul-Spiti during last four years. He said that people should also be told about the project that was brought to the Kullu.
He said that entire development of tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh happened during the Congress governments.
He said that it was Congress government that brought the Rohtang tunnel into reality.
He said that Kiratpur-Manali national highway four-lane project was conceived during the Congress regime and budgetary provision was made for the same.
He said that BJP government till date could not ensure proper construction of four lane project. He said that even big institutions like IIT Mandi, Medical College Nerchowk in Mandi district was approved under Congress governments.
